For a small extra fee, make your visit to Maru especially memorable by enjoying a personal ‘Close Animal Encounter’. Our Animal Park keepers will take you inside the animal enclosures to personally introduce you to the animals. Be educated about each animal’s behaviour, defining features and natural habitat as you interact with them. Take your own photographs or purchase a professional photo as a souvenir of your experience at Maru.

KOALA ENCOUNTER Get eye to eye with a cuddly Koala and offer it some fresh gum leaf		DINGO ENCOUNTER Get ready for the dingoes’ enthusiastic welcome as you enter their enclosure
POSSUM ENCOUNTER Meet ‘Honey’ our Golden Brush Tail Possum and pat her thick soft coat as she perches on your shoulder		WALLABY ENCOUNTER Cuddle ‘Ferris’ or one of our other hand-reared wallabies.  Other baby animals may be available at different times throughout the year
